Make Your Own Dreidel

MAKING YOUR OWN HANUKKAH DREIDEL: This is a great Hanukkah party game for those crafty guests. If you are having a Hanukkah celebration in your home, keep the kids busy with this great craft and game. Kids will love to make their own dreidel. It is combining a fun party game with a craft. The children can use the dreidels that they create to play spin the dreidel when they are finished. Creating their own dreidel makes playing the game extra special. Each player will need a small milk carton, glue, paint and paint brushes. Take a small milk carton and fold over the top to form a box. You can glue the lid down to keep it folded over. Now they can decorate their boxes to look like a dreidel. When the paint is dry, take the pencil and poke through the box from the top and downwards so the point is at the bottom. When it is complete, they can use their homemade dreidel to play spin the dreidel or it can be given to another party guest as a gift. Of course, you should help them all to play the game after they have made their own dreidel. The guests can then keep their driedels as a way to remember the celebration for a long time in coming.
