Hanukkah games are a great way to get the children at the party involved in the festivities of this all important Jewish holiday. There are many Hanukkah games that can easily be played by children of all ages such as Pin The Candle On The Menorah (similar to pin the tail on the donkey but with a candle on a menorah). The Dreidal game is classic game and a must for any Hanukkah party. A scavenger hunt for chocolate gelts (money) will have children searching all throughout the party for tasty chocolate candies wrapped in gold. Why not make a life-size dreidal game with a child being the dreidal staning on a dreidal board? Children love to spin so let them spin with a purpose. Divide the surface into four squares, and label each square with one of the Hebrew letters used in the dreidel game: ? (Nun), ? (Gimmel), ? (Hey) and ? (Shin). Award special party favors and prizes for all game winners and party favors for all who attend the Hanukkah party.
Children love to dance around besides playing Hanukkah games. Many Hanukkah songs and albums will get children off their seat to the dance floor.
